About the role We are currently recruiting for a Senior Business Analyst - Data & Technology to join the Essential Energy Operations Change Delivery team (in the Digital Services Division) in a 12-month fixed term position.
It is preferred that this role will be based in Port Macquarie (with the ability to work from home in a hybrid work environment), but locations within the Essential Energy footprint will also be considered.
Reporting to the Operations Efficiency Manager, the Senior Business Analyst will be an integral part of a project team focused on consolidating data centres and providing resilient digital platforms for the organization.
This position is crucial in ensuring the successful delivery of the project objectives through these key activities: Gather requirements for computing infrastructure and virtualization platforms.
Organize and conduct technical workshops.
Deliver market documentation for technology procurement from vendors.
Review and update technical documentation with associated teams, such as cabling and naming standards.
Facilitate workshops and review policies.
Review application workloads, document application components for platform migrations, and understand timeframes and dependencies for migrations, deployments, and new builds.
Develop business cases and board papers.
The Senior Business Analyst is further responsible for the provision of comprehensive strategic advice and recommendations to senior or executive management.
Key Responsibilities Preparation of detailed business analysis which meets evolving and ad hoc organisational needs in the driving of business efficiencies, productivity improvement and alignment with the corporate strategy Act as the key point of contact for complex problem solving, technical, financial, and forecasting advice Facilitate workshops with business users and stakeholders to enable development of comprehensive problem statements and guide development of effective solutions.
Provide recommendations, develop, and implement improved business processes, guidelines, standards, and reporting.
Develop, test and document robust analytical models for identifying trends Undertake comprehensive research to develop robust and consistent metrics Provide specialist, technical advice and mentoring to team members and senior management on urgent business requests, report writing and ad hoc reporting as required About You You will have previous experience in a similar role with extensive experience in data governance, preparation of reports and presentations to senior management and experience developing standards, procedures and guidelines for complex business processes and systems.
