Experienced Lead Environmental Field Supervisor - Field Based Role Ausecology is a specialised ecology, rehabilitation and environmental consultancy. We provide efficient, practical and high-quality environmental outcomes for clients.
We are looking for a Lead Environmental Field Supervisor who has the passion, physical capability and skills to coordinate and motivate our teams on weed management, ecological restoration activities and large-scale planting projects. This is a field-based role and is physically demanding, a major part of this role will be an expectation for you to undertake and oversee the installation of our large planting projects in the field in South East Queensland including supervising and motivating the teams involved.
The role will be full-time (or otherwise negotiated) based from our office in Cannon Hill, Brisbane and surrounds. There will be opportunities to participate in projects further afield in South East and Central Qld on one our many offset sites which will require working away from home, accommodation and food will be provided at our expense.

Role and Key Responsibilities: Execution of environmental projects, including: offset installation and management burn prep and ecological burns adhere to Ausecology's Mobile Management System participate in all HSEQ audits and contribute to the continuous improvement of Ausecology's Mobile Management System provide feedback or suggestions for improvements execute fieldwork in line with quality assurance and safety procedures complete and submit all HSE and project forms as required participate in all training requirements ensure warehouse, plant and equipment are maintained and stored correctly Skills and experience: Min 5 years of in-field bush regeneration, natural area technician, land conservation experience Qualification in Conservation and Land/Ecosystem Management (Natural Area Restoration) or similar area or practical infield experience Demonstrate Supervisory experience (min 2 years) Plant identification skills – native and exotic across a range of ecosystem types Current manual driver's licence ACDC Licence Chainsaw cross-cut and felling 4WD and trailer experience Highly regarded: Ecological burn experience First & CPR certificate Tool and small engine maintenance Remote area (rural) work experience favoured We will offer you the following: a competitive remuneration package that reflects capability and experience, plus: super access to a pool of company vehicles paid birthday off to celebrate your passion professional development training salary sacrifice paid skin checks paid ACDC licence all tools and PPE employee referral bonus ($500) working away from home daily allowance (when required) all travel expenses (accommodation, travel, meals etc.) paid social events, including: a full-day end-of-year party, a highlight of the social calendar mid-year company gathering safety conscience company (ISO accredited in Safety, Quality and Environment) Learn more about us
