We are seeking an experienced and talented Senior Building Designer to join our team in Brisbane. This role offers the opportunity to work on exciting residential projects, including new homes and prewar renovations, with a focus on delivering exceptional custom designs.
Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage residential design projects, from concept to completion, ensuring the highest standards of quality and innovation.Specialise in new home builds and prewar renovations, delivering exceptional custom designs.Oversee projects with a build budget of approximately $1M.Mark up construction sets and ensure designs comply with construction standards.Collaborate with a team of designers, consultants, and clients to bring projects to life.Stay current with the latest design trends, building materials, and regulations to inform project work.Provide leadership and mentorship to junior designers, offering training and guidance to support their professional development.In-depth understanding of the National Construction Code (NCC), including new livable codes, waterproofing codes and energy efficiency requirements.Review and ensure compliance with relevant building regulations throughout the design and construction phases.Required Skills and Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in building design, with a strong focus on residential custom design.Advanced proficiency in Revit (Enscape experience is highly desirable).Proven experience in managing and delivering residential design projects, including new homes and prewar renovations.Extensive knowledge of the National Construction Code (NCC) and current industry standards.Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with clients, contractors, and team members.What We Offer: A dynamic and supportive work environment with opportunities for professional development and growth.The chance to lead exciting residential projects that push creative boundaries.Competitive salary and sales commission.Two work-from-home days per week for improved work-life balance.Flexible working hours to suit your lifestyle.If you have a passion for residential design, office management, and the experience to match, we'd love to hear from you.
