Our client is a well-respected law firm with 80 staff spread across offices in the CBD and Eastern suburbs of Melbourne. They pride themselves on building strong relationships with their clients, providing high quality legal advice across a wide range of practice areas. Their construction law services cover a scope of building projects such as industrial, commercial, retail, residential, and multi-unit development.
They now seek an experienced Senior Building & Construction Lawyer to join their Litigation team in a pivotal role, with very reasonable billable hour expectations. As an expert in the Building/Construction law field, your role will be a mix of front (contracts and agreements) and back end (dispute resolution, legislative and regulatory requirements) in relation to both domestic and commercial building matters.
It is envisaged that the successful candidate will possess at least 8 years + PAE across the full gamut of Building & Construction law practice. The suitable candidates will also have:
Outstanding communication skills - both written and verbal;
High attention to detail;
Strong drafting and negotiating skills;
A strong work ethic and team values;
A willingness to mentor & share knowledge;
Be able to multi-task & manage competing priorities;
Knowledge of Practice Evolve and Redcrest is highly desirable.
