Senior Building Assessment Officer - NorthClerk Grade: 9/10Employment Type: OngoingLocation: Newcastle (Flexible work arrangements available)Salary: $125,693 - $138,510 + SuperClosing Date: Monday 6th January 2025 (9:59am)Please note, due to Christmas Shutdown, shortlisting for this role will commence in the new year once the advert closes on January 6th 2025.About the teamReporting to the Manager, Claimant Outcomes - North, you will be responsible for overseeing the building assessment services for properties within underground coal mining districts across NSW.In this role you will lead the assessment of damage to surface infrastructure associated with coal mine subsidence, project and contract management of rectification work, and the assessment of surface development risk to support the achievement of customer service orientated objectives under the Coal Mine Subsidence Compensation Act 2017.You will be based in Newcastle NSW and join the team on an ongoing basis.Subsidence Advisory NSW has a talented team who work to support the community in coal mining areas of New South Wales and are responsible for administering the Coal Mine Subsidence Compensation Act 2017.The team provide expert advice to property owners, government departments and authorities, local councils, community organisations and industries within Mine Subsidence Districts, and throughout NSW.To be successful in this role you will demonstrate: Strong leadership, driving a sense of accountability and performance among the teamEstablishing and creating rapport with stakeholders to provide building adviceExperience in reading and interpretating construction and engineering plansExperience in construction methodology, building standards and practices and project and contract managementExperience in customer service and the ability to build strong relationshipsExcellent communication, verbal and written skills are essentialExperience in managing and overseeing all elements of project planning and development of which to include reporting, coordinating resources, managing budgets and developing project plans.Your CV and covering letter should demonstrate how your skills and experience are suited to the role.
