Senior Budget Officer

The City of Bunbury is seeking a Senior Budget Officer to oversee the preparation, monitoring, and reporting of our annual budget, ensuring it aligns with strategic objectives.

This role offers an opportunity to provide financial analysis and advice to the Leadership Team and Council to support informed decision-making and long-term financial planning.

Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and monitor the annual budget, ensuring compliance with financial policies.
Conduct budget reviews and provide financial scenario modelling.
Offer strategic insights on economic trends and budget data.
Requirements:
Progress toward or completion of qualifications in Accounting or substantial relevant experience.
Strong knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards, financial analysis, and budget management.
This is a full-time permanent position.
Conditions of employment are in accordance with the City of Bunbury Employees 2022 Enterprise Agreement with a level 7 salary.
