Senior Bookkeeper (Remote)

POSITION SUMMARY The Senior Bookkeeper is responsible for client business administration including reconciling to trial balance, management reports, and activity statements. This involves maintaining an appropriate level of service to the clients and producing a high standard of work.
The Senior Bookkeeper must be technically proficient and up to date with developments in taxation law where it applies to GST, systems, and processes and they will readily share their expertise with colleagues.
The Senior Bookkeeper will take full responsibility and ownership of the completion of allocated jobs and ongoing engagements and is effectively responsible for managing their workflow with the support of management.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE A degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred but not required. At least 4 years of experience as a bookkeeper in a professional service environment. At least 4 years of experience in the Australian Market. Experience using MYOB. Experience with local and international payroll. SKILLS REQUIRED Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Sound experience and knowledge of MS Office products such as Excel, Word, and Outlook. Sound experience and knowledge in accounting software (i.e. MYOB, Xero, or similar). Ability to work in a dynamic and changeable environment effectively, with minimal supervision. Ability to work effectively in a busy and high-pressure team environment. Demonstrated commitment to quality; ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines and self-motivation.
