Bookkeeping & Small Practice Accounting (Accounting) Dogdayz is the pre-eminent provider of dog boarding services in Victoria, a dynamically growing business currently operating across multiple sites in Melbourne with headquarters at Warrandyte. The Location Located on five acres of park and gardens, Dogdayz offers a busy but pleasant working environment with a congenial and dedicated team.
The Role Dogdayz has experienced rapid growth over the last few years and will be operating 5 sites next year. We need a senior Office Manager/Bookkeeper to keep the admin and accounts up-to-date and accurate. There is a high volume of transactions from our POS/Booking software integrated into Xero and running through multiple bank accounts. Experience with the kind of issues that can cause, and processes to manage it well, will be valued. Good interpersonal skills for dealing with staff and at times customers are required.
Duties will include: Accounts/payroll/AP: solid experience required (Xero a definite advantage). This will be most of the role. Occasional Reception: greeting clients and their dogs. Being a backup for phone answering - we can get very busy at certain times of day. Assistance to the Director. General IT competencies an advantage. We would like this person to become the back-end admin for the POS/Booking system. That may take some time, but we need the role to get there by the end of year one. Calculating and submitting BAS statements. A five-day week is expected. Hours: 38 hours, usually 7.30 – 5.00pm (1 hour lunch break), and finish at 11.00am one day per week. Salary commensurate with experience.
The Person The selected candidate will be:
Experienced in similar roles with a stable employment history. Confident in written and verbal expression. Living reasonably close to the job. Customer-focused with strong interpersonal skills. Must Love Dogs! More about us:
