Bookkeeping & Small Practice Accounting (Accounting) Alexander Spencer, a dynamic and fast-growing accounting firm recently recognised as Abacus Worldwide's Firm of the Year 2024, is seeking a talented Senior Bookkeeper to join The Outsourced Office division.
As part of a forward-thinking team, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering expert bookkeeping services to a diverse range of clients. The Outsourced Office offers comprehensive support, providing valuable advice and guidance to help clients manage their financial operations with ease and precision.
Purpose: The Senior Bookkeeper will play a crucial role in overseeing the preparation and delivery of high-quality bookkeeping services to a diverse client portfolio. As a key member of the team, you will contribute to the growth and success of the division, helping shape its future expansion.
This role would suit someone with a solid bookkeeping background gained in public practice, who is eager to broaden their bookkeeping expertise and take on new challenges. Do: Provide exceptional levels of service to support our clients in managing their business financesComplete bookkeeping work for our clients, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and superannuationAccount reconciliations (Bank and Balance Sheet accounts)Preparation of monthly & quarterly IAS/BAS returnsPreparation of EOFY statutory obligations (eg Workcover and TPAR declarations)Liaising with clients and statutory authoritiesCollaborate with the offshore team and assist with junior staff trainingEnsure timely delivery of services and effective client managementHave: Current experience as a bookkeeperA minimum of 5+ years of experience in bookkeeping, BAS and payrollA high degree of accuracy and attention to detailProficiency in using XeroStrong reconciliation skillsFlexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and work demandsSolution oriented approachA willingness to work and contribute to the firm's culture through our shared values.Our Values: Teach – making others better.Respect – open, and respectful of others.Ambition – aspire to be more.Fun – unwind and have fun.Common game plan – we achieve everything together.Perks we offer: Casual clothing on FridaysSocial activities throughout the yearAmazing brand new office with standing desksClose to shops and public transportHow to apply: This is ideally a full-time position; however, we will consider Part-time (0.8 FTE).
