Agility Finance has established themselves as one of Australia's premier non-bank private lending companies providing specialised bespoke finance to property investors and developers.We are currently looking for a hands-on and experienced Senior Bookkeeper to join our Sydney CBD based finance team.This is a role with high levels of autonomy and responsibility, and you will need to have the ability to think logically and work well under pressure to succeed.In the role of Senior Bookkeeper, you will:Manage daily data entry and bank reconciliation of five separate bank accounts in our mortgage industry specific software The Mortgage Office (TMO).Manage all transactions and data entry for our trust account (knowledge of or exposure to trust accounting is highly advantageous).Maintain our mortgage management software including day to day data entry, maintenance of our lender and borrower database and other ad hoc tasks as required.Process, cross-check, and document a high volume of payment requests across multiple construction projects.Work closely with senior management to workshop bespoke lending scenarios including suggestions on optimal loan structure, calculations of interest, fees, loan limits and borrower capacity.Prepare documentation outlining all financial and non-financial terms and conditions for each new finance contract and work closely with our external legal team to ensure they are accurately reflected in all legal documentation and correspondence.Ensure all agreed terms, conditions and calculations included in our legal agreements are correctly reflected in our software system including problem solving and "out of the box" solutions where necessary.Perform complex calculations as required using Excel and TMO to provide loan settlement/payout/interest/payment figures to both lenders and borrowers based upon different scenarios.Complete the month end close and accounting process.Supervise and support all additional finance team members.As part of our valued team, you will also need to be:Accurate with excellent attention to detail.Able to manage multiple small projects at once.A fast and willing learner.Systematic and organised.Client focused.Energetic and solutions driven.Technical skills required:You must have advanced excel abilities including being able to calculate interest and capitalised interest quickly and confidently at different points in the life cycle of a finance agreement.Strong understanding of general finance terminology and finance operations in general.Working knowledge of financial or management accounting.
You do not need to have a tax background.Advanced accounting software, The Mortgage Office software experience will be extremely highly valued.Experience:Minimum three years' experience in a similar bookkeeping, accounting, or finance role.Please note: Interviewees will be asked to participate in a 30-minute Excel test as part of the interview process.
