Key Responsibilities Manage accounts/transactions for multiple venues/entities Bank reconciliations/cash flow management Accounts payable BAS and PAYG reporting Payroll tax Support for payroll during leave Relationship building and management, internally and externally Maintain records of financial transactions by establishing accounts; posting transactions; ensure legal requirements and compliance Develop systems to account for financial transactions by establishing/maintaining a chart of accounts, defining bookkeeping policies and procedures Maintain general ledger by transferring inter-entity account transactions Balance general ledger by preparing a trial balance; reconciling entries Prepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends Comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying requirements; enforcing adherence to requirements; filing reports; advising management on needed actions Ensure integration of other systems used within the business with Xero Collaborate with the internal and external accountants Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed Bookkeeper Qualifications / Skills Developing standards Analyzing information Dealing with complexity Communication Data entry skills Accounting Attention to detail Confidentiality Thoroughness Team player Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements 5 years previous bookkeeping experience a must Experience in working with multiple legal entities under different legal umbrellas Systems integration experience is preferred Night Owl is a flexible employer with working locations across Perth. We offer discounts across our venues for our employees, and we are happy to consider flexible opportunities. The full-time salary range is $80,000 to $95,000.
