Helping build this country is a privilege they take seriously.About the roleReporting to the Chief Executive Officer, you will be responsible for supporting the company's financial accounting and reporting needs across the various 30 entities. You will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with regulations.As a key role with the Crystal Group, you will contribute to the growth and success of the company by leading the finance team and driving initiatives to improve our accounting processes, identify inefficiencies, and implement best practices to enhance our overall workflow and accuracy of financial operations.This role will suit an individual with a solid background in bookkeeping or finance, who is eager to take on the challenges of this role and make a real impact.Key ResponsibilitiesManage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable and bank reconciliationsManage and motivate a small finance teamImplement systems and processesEnter and verify invoices and paymentsReport balance sheet and profit and loss reportsPrepare and lodge BAS statementsProcess payroll for various entities of the businessLodge tax returns for various entitiesConduct ASIC reviews and payments for annual returns on entitiesPrepare accurate financial statements and reports in accordance with regulatory guidelinesPrepare year-end trial balancesTo be considered for this position you will require:Tertiary Qualifications in Accounting or FinancePost-qualification experience, preferably in propertyStrong understanding of financial accounting and reporting principlesStrong experience in implementing systems and processesProven experience in transitioning to a new accounting system, including leading the change process from start to finishProficient use of Excel, Xero, and QuickBooksExperience in changing accounting systemsExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to multitask and adapt to changing priorities with a high level of time managementStrong attention to detailThe successful candidate must successfully complete a National Police and Bankruptcy Check as part of the recruitment process.Please include a copy of your cover letter with five reasons why you believe you are suitable for the role.Your application will include the following questions:Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in Australia?How many years' experience do you have as a bookkeeper?Do you have experience using Xero?Which of the following accounting packages are you experienced with?Have you completed a qualification in finance?What's your expected annual base salary?Do you have experience using QuickBooks?To help fast track investigation, please include any other relevant details that prompted you to report this job ad as fraudulent/misleading/discriminatory.
