About the role Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, you will be responsible for supporting the company's financial accounting and reporting needs across the various 30 entities. You will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with regulations.
As a key role with the Crystal Group, you will contribute to the growth and success of the company by leading the finance team and driving initiatives to improve our accounting processes, identify inefficiencies and implement best practice to enhance our overall workflow and accuracy of financial operations.
This role will suit an individual with a solid background in bookkeeping or finance, who is eager to take on the challenges of this role and make a real impact.
Key Responsibilities Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable and bank reconciliationsManage and update depreciation schedulesManaging and motivating a small finance teamImplementing systems and processes Entering and verifying invoices and paymentsReporting balance sheet, profit and loss reportsPreparation and lodgement of BAS statements Processing payroll for various entities of the businessLodgement of tax returns for various entitiesASIC Reviews and Payments for annual returns on entities Prepare accurate financial statements and reports in accordance with regulatory guidelinesPreparing year end trial balances
To be considered for this position you will require: Tertiary Qualifications in Accounting or Finance Post-qualification experience, preferably in property Strong understanding of financial accounting and reporting principlesStrong experience in implementing systems and processes Must have proven experience in transitioning to a new accounting system, including leading the change process from start to finishPrevious management experience Proficient use in Excel, Xero and QuickBooksExperience in changing accounting systemsExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to multitask and adapt to changing priorities with high level of time managementStrong attention to detail The successful candidate must successfully complete a National Police and Bankruptcy Check as part of the recruitment process.
