We currently have an opportunity for an experienced and proactive Senior Bid Manager to work as part of our New Business team. Reporting to the New Business Manager, this role will focus on leading our Bid Management team to produce high-quality, consistent submissions that maximize the potential for Kapitol Group securing new work.
What you'll do: Oversee our end-to-end Bid Management processes and strategies, liaising with Estimating, the ECI team, and Marketing.Lead a small team of Bid Managers, Bid Coordinators, and Designers.Assist in the development of tender-winning strategies, communicate these with the team, and ensure their implementation.Implement and manage submission workflow and practices.End-to-end bid preparation to ensure high quality and timely submissions.Analyze tender requirements and produce appropriate schedules and plans to ensure resources are sufficient and efficiently utilized.Oversee contributors/SMEs to tenders, ensuring their understanding of requirements and strategy for the bid workload.Monitor and report on bid progress including quality, progress, and issues for resolution.Oversee the maintenance and continued improvement of tender collateral (case studies, templates, and common question responses).Cultivate strong professional relationships with stakeholders internally and externally.About you: 5 to 10+ years' experience in a similar role, ideally in the construction industry.Detailed understanding of the construction tender and submission ecosystem.Demonstrated experience with using Microsoft Suite and InDesign.Able to context switch, work on multiple projects at any one given time, and handle competing priorities.Refined attention to detail, proofreading, and editing skills.Passionate about driving change, innovation, and continuous improvement.Work well autonomously and within a team committed to organizational success.Experience leading a high-performance team.Strong planning, program, and stakeholder management skills.Advanced collaboration, interpersonal, communication, and client-focused skills.How you'll benefit: Investment in training with the aim to have the best trained workforce in the industry.Free health assessments for all staff.Paid parental leave for both primary and secondary caregivers.Fast-tracked career development opportunities and support through mentoring, workshops, and retreats.Industry-leading internal communication channels to break down silos across sites, allowing staff to share ideas, lessons learned, and other resources.Kapitol values diversity and aims to build an inclusive environment that champions, embraces, and respects differences.
