The Role:
BV is seeking an experienced Senior Solar/BESS Electrical Engineer.
The candidate should have a high-level understanding of the energy yield assessments and experience in design review, verification, and assessment of renewable energy plants.
This may include budget, schedule, quality, risk, contract and stakeholder management, supervising construction, procurement activities, engaging in negotiations with EPC, and managing industrial relations.
Key Responsibilities: Solar/BESS site visits, inspections, and RCAsHigh-level understanding of the energy yield assessmentsDesign review, verification, and assessment of renewable energy plantsExperience with EPC, O&M, and module supply agreement contract reviewsPerform technical due diligence, construction monitoring, and payment milestone authorization of the Solar and BESSManage projects as the owner's or lender's engineerKnowledge of wind projects is a plusManage other engineering sub-consultants to meet the requirements of BV's clientsMaintain communication with engineers of other international BV officesFacilitate information sharing in the area of electrical engineering for renewable energy plantsClient liaison, including development and continual review of client requirements, managing client expectations, keeping clients informed of work progress, and ensuring timely production of deliverablesParticipate and represent BV in renewable energy conferences, events, etc.Any other tasks requested by the Engineering ManagerQualifications and Experience:
• Bachelor of Electrical Engineering, Masters preferred
• Experience in the consultancy environment as owner and lender engineer
• Solar/BESS farm site experience
• Ability to work under pressure
• Excellent report writing skills
• This role may require 20-30% travel
