The division also leads the department's Closing the Gap efforts.
Role DetailsThe Senior Behaviour Support Practitioner is a role within Youth Justice & Exceptional Needs and is accountable to the Clinical Manager, Enhanced Support Team for:
Providing advanced clinical expertise within Kurlana Tapa Youth Justice Centre.Providing specialist clinical assessment, intervention and behaviour support planning for children and young people with complex needs.Contributing to practice improvement and service development within Kurlana Tapa Youth Justice Centre and across Youth Justice & Exceptional Needs.Contributing to planning, program management and resource management in the Enhanced Support Team.Special ConditionsNational Police Check required.Employment-related Screening Check required.Some out of hours work may be required.Must hold a current Australian issued driver's licence (equivalent to a minimum class C)Role Status: Term up to 30/05/2025Essential QualificationsAppropriate degree or equivalent qualification which entitles registration with the Psychology Board of Australia; or a Bachelor of Disability and Developmental Education; or appropriate degree which gives eligibility for full membership of Speech Pathology Australia; or appropriate degree which entitles registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia; or appropriate degree which gives eligibility for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers. A Masters level allied health qualification is desirable.
