Customise Vero's service and value propositions, target markets as well as specific product features, to match broker needs. The Senior Business Development Manager (SBDM) is responsible for building and maintaining strong strategic collaborative partnerships with a dedicated panel of complex, high value Vero Brokers.
SBDM's influence and collaboratively network with underwriters, claims and credit teams to deliver customer-focused service to help brokers grow their business.
SBDM's are responsible for joint strategy development and objective setting with Brokers and following through on all supporting activities to ultimately deliver Gross Written Premium (GWP) profitable growth, retention and broker satisfaction.
What you'll do: Plan, build and maintain strong strategic and collaborative partnerships with key staff (particularly at executive level) in broker panel offices in line with established service and value propositions.Develop an intimate understanding of each broker's business structure, complexity, culture, clients, issues, risks, needs, systems, constraints and objectives.Build and maintain collaborative internal relationships and networks to deliver enhanced service and value in line with the broker's value to Vero.Coordinate influential internal stakeholders and key brokerage staff in strategic business planning activities to develop competitive strategies (that include both a short-term and long-term view), joint objectives, supporting activities and a monitoring plan that focus on the achievement of joint growth.Coordinate, prioritise and manage activities to maximise outcomes and exceed expectations.What you'll bring: Successful insurance experience and sales experience.Successful broking experience.Demonstrated ability to build and maintain collaborative strategic and commercial partnerships, relationships and networks.Commercial understanding of the general insurance market, products and underwriting.An understanding of medium to large sized business operations.Our culture: Working as part of Suncorp you will have access to an unparalleled range of job opportunities across insurance and corporate services.
