This role places you directly with one of our valued clients in the fintech and impact tech space, where you'll have the opportunity to take on a pivotal role in shaping their backend systems.
About the Role We're seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join our client's dynamic team, working on building and maintaining scalable, secure, and high-performance backend systems.
You'll play a crucial role in developing and optimizing APIs, managing databases, and contributing to AWS infrastructure management.
Key Responsibilities ?API Development: Develop and maintain RESTful APIs using Node.js/Express, ensuring scalability and performance.
?Database Management: Manage and optimize Postgre SQL/My SQL databases for high availability and performance tuning.
?API Design: Design and build APIs with a focus on scalability, security, and efficiency.
?AWS Integration: Work with AWS services such as EC2, RDS, and S3, helping to maintain and optimize the infrastructure.
?CI/CD Pipelines: Collaborate on setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployment processes.
?Infrastructure Management: Contribute to Terraform setup for infrastructure management, learning and applying best practices as needed.
Required Skills and Experience ?Node.js / Express: Strong experience in developing and maintaining RESTful APIs.
?Database Management: Proficient with Postgre SQL/My SQL, including experience with performance tuning.
?API Design: Demonstrated experience building and optimizing APIs for scalability and security.
?AWS Basics: Familiarity with AWS services (EC2, RDS, S3) and their integration.
?CI/CD Experience: Comfortable with setting up or managing CI/CD pipelines.
?Terraform: Eager to learn and work with Terraform for infrastructure management.
