12 Month Contract + 12 Month Extension Ability to obtain a Baseline ClearanceCanberra City office, 01 July 2024 start dateOur Client, a large Federal Government Department is seeking to engage an experienced Senior Automation Specialist for a long term contract opportunity. The Infrastructure Platforms team is responsible for the management of all data centers, virtualization, automation, storage, backup and restore capability. The team is also responsible for providing after hours On-Call support for our infrastructure.
The Role The Senior Automation Specialist will be responsible for managing and improving the Department's Aria Automation, Operations, NSX, vSphere environment and physical compute as needed. The role requires producing design documents, build documents, operations document, handover and sharing of knowledge with other team members and mentoring other team members.


Essential criteria Demonstrated experience in few of the following technologies: Aria Automation 8.x Aria Orchestrator VMware NSX for vSphere VMware NSX-T VMware vSphere Aria Operations;Demonstrated scripting and coding experience in few of the following: YAML JavaScript PowerShell PowerCLI;Experience / Knowledge of Kubernetes and Containerization;Ability to produce design, build and operations documentation for processes and procedures;Excellent communication (verbal and written) and collaboration skills to collaborate with skilled technical people, including making presentations to staff and stakeholders and coaching staff.Desirable criteria Demonstrated experience in the following technologies: HPE OneView HPE Interconnects HPE DL, BL, Apollo and Synergy ServersFor a copy of the full job description, including the application instructions, please get in touch with Alison at the Recruitment Hive by clicking the Apply Now button.
