We have a team of 90 professional and support staff across two office locations.

Nexia Melbourne has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Auditor to join our Audit and Assurance Team!

With the support of our Managers and Partners, you will play a vital role in ensuring seamless execution of audit assignments. As an auditor-in-charge, you will take ownership of significant client engagements and gain exposure to diverse client portfolios. This role provides a unique opportunity to apply and expand your expertise across various client industries, all within a collaborative and supportive environment.

Some of the main responsibilities include :

Complete audit engagements, including planning, performing, finalising and reportingSupervising and reviewing junior auditor's work papers as auditor in chargeMentoring, assisting and providing guidance to junior audit team membersEstablish and maintain strong relationships with clientsManage a large portfolio of clientsProvide regular progress reports to the Audit Management TeamAbout you :
To be considered for this role, you will possess the following skills and attributes:
You have a minimum of 5 years external Audit experience in public practiceRelevant bachelor's degree (Business, Commerce, Accounting etc.) and studying CA or equivalent post-graduate qualificationGood knowledge of Word, Excel, APS, and CaseWare (or similar audit systems)You are a great communicator, both written and verbalAppropriate professional and technical skills required to demonstrate a solid application of audit approachGood knowledge and understanding of Australian corporate reporting requirements (e.g. Accounting Standards, Corporations Act, UIG)Our Perks include: Highly collaborative team environmentLearning and development to support your careerTeam lunches, drinks and firm-wide eventsBirthday and Paid Parental leaveEmployee Assistance Program (EAP) Candidates must have full Australian working rights to apply.
