Nexia Melbourne has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Auditor to join our Audit and Assurance Team! With the support of our Managers and Partners, you will play a vital role in ensuring seamless execution of audit assignments. As an auditor-in-charge, you will take ownership of significant client engagements and gain exposure to diverse client portfolios. This role provides a unique opportunity to apply and expand your expertise across various client industries, all within a collaborative and supportive environment.

Some of the main responsibilities include: Complete audit engagements, including planning, performing, finalising, and reporting. Supervising and reviewing junior auditor's work papers as auditor-in-charge. Mentoring, assisting, and providing guidance to junior audit team members. Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients. Manage a large portfolio of clients. Provide regular progress reports to the Audit Management Team. About you: To be considered for this role, you will possess the following skills and attributes:
You have a minimum of 5 years external Audit experience in public practice. Relevant bachelor's degree (Business, Commerce, Accounting, etc.) and studying CA or equivalent post-graduate qualification. Good knowledge of Word, Excel, APS, and CaseWare (or similar audit systems). You are a great communicator, both written and verbal. Appropriate professional and technical skills required to demonstrate a solid application of audit approach. Good knowledge and understanding of Australian corporate reporting requirements (e.g., Accounting Standards, Corporations Act, UIG). Our Perks include: Highly collaborative team environment.
