Current opportunity
As part of our Audit and Assurance division, you will be supporting our audit team to undertake high-quality financial audits while building your analytical and technical skills, underpinned by clear and strong communication.

Reporting to our managers and Partners, you will perform a broad range of financial audit tasks and demonstrate your technical and professional skills.

Based in our Canberra CBD office, you will be surrounded by specialists with technical expertise and receive high-quality training and solid support to propel your career.

The role
We are seeking candidates for a Senior Auditor role that is responsible for supervising and completing audit assignments and is a key point of contact on the audit.

As part of our audit team you will:

Assist with the training and development of junior staffAssist with all aspects of audit engagementsPrepare financial statements and workpapersIdentify risks and suggest recommendations to enhance internal controlsReceive ongoing professional development opportunities to support your career growth and trajectoryApply appropriate analytical proceduresAddress technical issuesLiaise and coordinate with clients and stakeholdersDevelop and deploy teamwork, delegation and staff management skillsEnjoy the diversity of working both in the office and at client sites, working with people across various industries About you
To be considered for the Senior Auditor role, you will:
Have a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or CommerceHave a minimum two (2) years experience as an AuditorYou will also:
Demonstrate high ethical value in all professional dealingsHave the ability to complete quality work within time and budget constraintsDemonstrate practical understanding of audit procedures, workpapers and financial reporting requirementsBe able to prepare financial statements in accordance with Australian Accounting StandardsHave appropriate professional and technical skills required to demonstrate a good application of audit approachHave good knowledge and understanding of Australian reporting requirementsBe able to manage your own workload and ensure that work is appropriately prioritisedLife at Nexia
