We are currently looking for a Senior Associate to join our team. You will have knowledge of the Transport Accident Act 1986, the Accident Compensation Act, and the Work Injury Rehabilitation and Compensation Act. Candidates who have managed busy litigation portfolios and have experience in adjacent jurisdictions such as insurance, personal injuries litigation, and HR/IR are encouraged to apply.
These fast-paced and dynamic roles will require you to provide advice and representation in matters that could be in VCAT, The Magistrates Court of Victoria, County Court of Victoria, and The Supreme Court of Victoria.
We are looking for lawyers with: A minimum of 5 years of post-admission experience.A strong track record and passion for a thriving career in statutory compensation law.Profound expertise in client and file management, coupled with a commitment to delivering technically excellent advice promptly.Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills with a strong client focus and demonstrated ability to form enduring relationships with peers, clients, and industry experts.The ability to manage litigation files with autonomy, demonstrating maturity and self-motivation, yet open to guidance and mentorship when needed.Confidence in regular oral advocacy at settlement conferences and directions hearings on a regular basis.Good team player values who appreciate the importance of collegiality and collaboration.Why MinterEllison We offer flexible working options to encourage balance, wellbeing, and support for sustainable ways of working and a range of social, financial, and health benefits, including free gym membership - all with no minimum tenure.
