About the role and team Baker McKenzie's Transactional Practice Group is at the forefront of providing commercially astute advice to major Australian and global companies, fund managers, pension funds and sovereign wealth funds.
Our Energy team is at the forefront of this journey, providing commercially astute advice to major Australian and global companies.
We have one of Australia's largest dedicated energy, infrastructure and resources teams, with experience in all Australian jurisdictions.
Some of the group's key areas of specialization include complex M&A transactions, privatisations, listed public to private transactions, PPPs, structured finance, major infrastructure (including digital and telco infrastructure), energy, resources and utilities.
About You 5-7 years' experience in corporate transactions and commercial arrangements (such as M&A or projects work) Australian Qualified lawyer with relevant experience Relevant M&A, energy, mining and renewables transactions experience in a top tier or leading international firm preferred; A strong academic background Strong technical and drafting skills; Effective written and verbal communications skills; Strong commitment to client service, well-developed relationship management ability and ability to build rapport with colleagues and clients.
Team focus – ability to build relationships with colleagues and clients, reliable and always follow through.
Proactive and enthusiastic approach including participating in industry related programs and developing strategic relationships and networks.
An ability to work well in a team environment (including across Australian offices and internationally).
