Senior Associate, Syndications Westpac Banking Corporation, Melbourne, AustraliaJoin Westpac's Institutional Banking Team Established career path and progression opportunities Melbourne based permanent role Job Description We are seeking a dynamic Senior Associate to join Westpac's Institutional Bank, which is a leading loan house in the Australian market. The Syndications team is responsible for the origination, structuring, pricing, documenting, and distribution of arranged and underwritten loans for WIB customers. The team also supports the Project Finance and Leveraged & Acquisition Finance teams in the underwriting and distribution of their syndicated loans for those sectors.
The role will report to the Head of Loans & Syndications VIC, SA, and WA and will primarily focus on supporting the Directors within the Syndications team to originate, execute, and distribute syndicated loans for WIB clients.
The role will involve working closely with WIB relationship management teams, analysts, credit, internal and external legal, Agency, Borrowers, and other external banks and investors to successfully provide and distribute loans into the market and to deliver exceptional client service.
You will have: Some familiarity with corporate credit and loan documentation Strong communication (both written and verbal), presentation, and negotiation skills Strong collaboration skills and experience with stakeholder management Networking and influencing skills Strong critical thinking and analytical skills Superior commercial acumen Strong attention to detail The ability to develop and maintain a comprehensive investor/bank network in the Asia-Pacific market You will also be: Pro-active in managing competing priorities and deadlines Self-motivated team player, strong initiative, high customer service values Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word Assisting in the origination, structuring, pricing, execution, and distribution of syndicated loan transactions for WIB Clients covering a variety of industries Maintaining internal databases, market update presentations, management of league table submissions Ensuring the highest possible service level to our borrowers and investors, contributing to Westpac's reputation for providing premium quality service Working as an integral part of the Syndications team, providing support where required across the team Building close relationships across WIB, external legal counsel, investors, and WIB clients Minimizing the risk and errors that have the potential for financial and/or reputational risk to Westpac What's in it for me?
