Senior Associate / Special Counsel – M&A Lawyer

M&A Team OverviewThere are three Partners in the M&A team in Melbourne, with a primary focus on mid-market Private M&A (up to $200M) and Capital Raisings, and a secondary focus on Public M&A and IPOs.
This is an industry-agnostic practice servicing clients across the spectrum of Technology and Fintech, Energy & Infrastructure, Transport & Logistics, Hospitality & Retail, Pharma, and NFPs.
The team consists of a dozen other SC, SA, and high-end Associates, providing an experienced group of specialists to support you on deals.
They operate on a target of 5.5 billable hours per day to encourage a better work-life balance, resulting in very low staff turnover.
As the volume of work has significantly increased, the main priority is to find a safe pair of hands to run deals.
We are looking for someone with strong technical drafting and problem-solving skills who can navigate complex issues effectively. We welcome technically gifted 'career SC' candidates or those interested in business development who wish to build a Partnership.
This role offers a soft landing in a busy practice while maintaining a bonus structure to reward any clients you bring into the firm as you develop your own practice.
