What are we looking for?
Slater and Gordon's national public liability team is the largest and most renowned in the country.
We are seeking an experienced Senior Associate to join our national public liability team based in our Brisbane office.
This rare and exciting opportunity is now available for a proactive, passionate and results driven lawyer.
You will be working with one of our most experienced and respected practice groups nationally which will see you working collaboratively across a range of types of legal work.
Our public liability practice handles a wide range of cases.
We assist clients with injuries incurred that resulted from slips and trips on public or private property; unsafe premises (such as balconies, stairs or walking surfaces); dog or animal attacks; physical assaults; defective products (or services); Sporting accidents (including recreational and adventure activities); injuries on private property including rental properties or health and fitness injuries (such as massage or personal training).
Due to Slater and Gordon's long history, reputation and brand awareness, the assistance of our public liability team is regularly sought after catastrophic accidents to investigate.
In addition to taking on a wide range of high value and challenging cases, this role will also see you manage and strengthen existing community relationships along with initiating and building new networks.
Your responsibilities will include:   Managing Queensland public liability file load and ensuring that our clients' cases are investigated, progressed and settled in a timely manner, and that we achieve the best outcomes possible for our clients.
Continually exploring new opportunities for the practice and developing new business opportunities   Mentoring and managing more junior lawyers and staff within the public liability team and Brisbane office more generally  Maintaining strong client relationships and demonstrating strong client care behaviours  What will you bring?
You will be a committed and enthusiastic individual who possesses the following:  Previous experience and a passion for Personal Injury, in particular, Public Liability law  Commercial acumen   Superior communication skills  A calm and easy-going nature  Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team  Ability to handle sensitive and challenging issues  Ability to exercise judgement and resolve problems expeditiously  Demonstrated skills in effective network and relationship management  What next?
