Responsibilities Depending on your experience you can expect to be:
Leading and owning the end-to-end management of mattersPreparing a range of advice including on indemnity, liability, reserves, prospects, quantum, costs and strategyResearching and providing legal analysis; preparing and reviewing discovered documents and evidenceDrafting letters of demand, court documents and settlement deedsLiaising extensively with clients and with witnesses to prepare statementsEngaging and liaising with independent experts, counsel, opposing lawyers and mediatorsPreparing briefs and instructing counsel during court hearings, mediations and conferencesAppearing at court, conferences and mediations and negotiating settlementsCoaching and mentoring junior lawyers, including supporting graduates and seasonal clerks throughout their rotationsBuilding, retaining and maintaining strong client relationships.About You You hold a current practicing certificate within the respective state you practice.You bring a minimum of 5 years PAE working principally in insurance and litigation.Experience and exposure to recovery claims is highly desirable.Exposure to commercial property matters is desired but not essential.You are self-driven, have excellent verbal and written communication, and time management skills.You can manage competing priorities effectively.You can demonstrate the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships, particularly the ability to earn the confidence and trust of key stakeholders.You pride yourself on being a collaborator who is professional, client focused and supportive of your colleagues.Proven ability to manage complex legal matters independently and as part of a team.Exceptional communication, negotiation, and advocacy skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Commitment to delivering high-quality legal services and achieving optimal outcomes for clients.Culture People choose Lander & Rogers for our down-to-earth, collaborative and supportive culture.
