The purpose of this role is to lead the delivery of a diverse range of consultancy services to Jacobs clients across a variety of markets. This will include project delivery, client relationship management, and technical leadership on specialist capability associated with Advanced Engineering Testing.As an established Mechanical Engineer, you will form a key part of our Advanced Engineering Modelling capability, bringing a variety of computer science, engineering and scientific skills. You will input into standards around the practice, and provide advice across Jacobs as it relates to your field of expertise, while maintaining outstanding project delivery. You will engage deeply in the physics of problems and apply a range of techniques to solve them.You will successfully plan, manage and deliver projects to meet client requirements, build the Engineering Test and Advanced Engineering Modelling work pipeline by identifying and developing solutions and services that support client needs and provide technical leadership and direction.You will support your Section to be engaged, resilient and adaptable to strive for innovation while maintaining outstanding project delivery, responsible and proactive commercial management, and making disciplined investment decisions.You will keep abreast of new methods, technologies and developments impacting the industry, Jacobs and our clients in order to contribute to the strategic direction of the group.We are seeking candidates across Australia, with opportunities in Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland, and Western Australia.Here's what you'll needRelevant Tertiary Degree. Broad knowledge of the application of data and technologies for solutions development in Engineering including advanced engineering modelling (FEA), testing equipment (e.g. strain gauges), technical skills in programming (i.e. Python, R), and scientific skills.Experience in one or more of the following major infrastructure sectors of Water, Power, Renewables, Rail and Resources sector.First-hand experience with a range of sensors such as accelerometers, strain gauges, fibre optics, and experience with synchronised data acquisition systems.Passion to engage deeply with the physics of problems and apply various techniques to solve them.Excellent interpersonal skills, working collaboratively across organisations, with a broad range of clients and to executive level.Demonstrated ability to take a broad perspective to identify innovative solutions.Experience engaging both internal and external clients in order to develop a program of opportunities and future workload.Willingness to travel to client sites to establish test systems required to solve complex structural problems.Jacobs.
