The Northern Australia Infrastructure Facility is a development financier established by the Federal Government to provide financial support to advance the development of infrastructure projects in northern Australia. NAIF provides finance to encourage and complement private and public sector investment in economic infrastructure.
NAIF is passionate about making a difference to the local economy by funding the construction of facilities or facility upgrades that will boost employment in the region. NAIF has been allocated $7 billion and is well established with commitments totaling over $4 billion across 31 investments in Central and North Queensland, Northern Territory, and northern Western Australia.
About the Role
Reporting to the Chief Investment Officer (CIO), this position is responsible for enabling high productivity of the Investment team by supporting and streamlining activities including information reporting, travel and office management; assisting in the communication and program management to support achieving NAIF's strategy and mandate.
The Senior Associate, Investment Support provides high level coordination, communication and professional support to the CIO including managing a diverse range of critical activities, services and projects relating to key strategic objectives. The role coordinates meetings and related forums chaired or convened by the CIO and manages the submission of reports, briefings and related documents for their attention. This role will ensure key tasks are coordinated and communicated to the right people across the organisation to deliver outcomes.
Responsibilities
Coordinate administration activities such as diary management, the initial screening of origination opportunities, responding to requests for information and correspondence, expense management, preparing briefing and input for government requests.
Develop and maintain a dynamic project plan for multiple concurrent projects.
Monitor and report on project deliverables across the Investment team.
Coordinate timely, accurate and relevant reports and documents.
Project and team administration includes proactively coordinating and booking multiple-stakeholder meetings and associated domestic travel.
About you
The ideal candidate will have five to seven years experience working in an administration, and/or office management role in the banking or finance sector. You will also bring to the role:
Well-developed organisational skills including maintaining a high level of performance in an environment of change, meet tight deadlines in an environment of competing priorities, conflicting demands and use professional judgment in managing sensitive matters.
Significant experience in provision of confidential, high-level and pre-emptive executive officer services.
Proven written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
Demonstrated ability to work under limited direction, to use initiative, work with a high degree of independence and confidentiality and manage and deliver on priorities and tasks to achieve objectives.
Strong stakeholder management skills with a natural ability to build connections and relationships and influence others to achieve outcomes.
Analytical thinking, problem solving and decision-making skills with the ability to research, monitor and synthesize complex information, identify risks and develop mitigation strategies to produce results.
Advanced computer literacy and the confidence to explore and implement new systems and technologies, including highly developed capability with the Microsoft 365 Suite, with emphasis on Microsoft Teams, and SharePoint Online.
Ability to identify and drive opportunities for continuous improvement in both personal and team-based systems and processes, and to provide advice and support to senior management for its adoption.
Demonstrated interpersonal ability, which fosters trust, openness and respect and maintains effective working relationships.
