Based in our Perth office within our established Geotechnical team of experts, you will play an integral part in bidding and delivering successful projects. Geotechnical & Tunnels Across Australia WSP employs a 400+ strong team of geotechnical, geological and tunneling consultants.Our NSW Geotechnical team consists of passionate and experienced staff, operating from offices in Perth CBD, as well as home offices nationwide.

What you'll do: Your passion and technical expertise will be deployed across a number of diverse projects, and expose you to a variety of industries, such as transport,water, mining, energy, property and buildings, and also government sectors to further continue the growth of an already successful and reputable capability.
Our geotechnical capability thrives on managing our clients' ground related risks, and contributes to getting their projects safely economically out of the ground – you'll do this in an innovation inspired community of geotechnical and geological staff.
Technical support will be provided by our Principal, Executive and Director staff, located locally, nationally and globally.
A typical day to day would look like, but not be limited to: Designing, undertaking and managing geotechnical investigation projects from proposal preparation to fieldwork, analysis and reportingPerforming desktop studies, field work and laboratory scheduling for our geotechnical investigations.Using the results of our investigations, you will use yourinterpretation and analysis skills to deliver designs that contribute to geotechnical and multidisciplinary projects across the sectors in which we operate.Supporting our clients during the construction of their projects, to make sure our designs are built according to the design intent.Supporting our nationally recognised experts in the delivery of geotechnical services to manage our clients' ground risk and support infrastructure development.Working closely with your geotechnical colleagues and other disciplines throughout project deliveryDriving business development through successful delivery of your projectsPromoting a safe working culture by identifying and eliminating safety hazardsAbout You If you possess the following, we would love to hear from you! A civil engineering or Geotechnical degree, or related degreePost graduate qualifications in a geotechnical related field will be considered favourablyA successful track record in undertaking and Project Managing field investigations for small to medium sized geotechnical projectsWillingness to spend time in the field collecting high quality geotechnical data (either through site investigation, mapping or construction phase services).A proven track record of promoting innovation in the field of geotechnical engineering to create value for our clients and projects.Demonstrated experience in the preparation of written technical reports and client communicationsDemonstrated experience in geotechnical design including rock/soil/structure interactionA strong work ethic and ability to work autonomously and in a team environmentAbility to take responsibility for geotechnical investigation and design delivery in multidisciplinary environments, as a geotechnical Design Manager.In addition, you will bring the following skills and attributes: Natural connectorProblem solver with a powerful team spiritOpenCuriousPassionateAdaptableSomeone ready to do the kind of work the world needsAbout WSP WSP is one of the world's leading engineering professional services firms, bringing together approximately 6,000 talented people across 15 offices in Australia.
