At Life Legacy Legal, we believe estate planning should involve more than just making a Will. We take a holistic approach, partnering with our clients throughout their life's journey to ensure their plans evolve with their goals, needs, and circumstances, offering them peace of mind now and for the future.
For our team, we are committed to creating a supportive and dynamic workplace that values continuous improvement, excellence in client service, and work-life balance. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated solicitor who shares our approach to this strategic area of law to join our team.
About the role
You will spend most of your time working autonomously or with the Life Legacy Legal directors on complex estate planning files. Your responsibilities will include:
Conducting due diligence investigations (relating to our clients' existing documents, circumstances, and asset ownership structures) and reporting on your findings;
Drafting complex Wills, enduring powers of attorney, and other estate planning documents;
Working closely with clients, referrers, accountants, and financial planners to develop tailored estate plans and asset protection strategies;
Managing files with meticulous attention to legal and procedural detail;
Bringing technical expertise to the table.
We will support you in developing your business development skills if that is of interest to you; however, there is no expectation for you to be involved in any business development activities outside of excellent client service and file management.
About you
You have 8+ years PAE and have completed, or are interested in completing, further study such as a Master of Laws in a relevant area and/or becoming an Accredited Specialist in succession law.
You also have:
A desire to be more than mediocre – you want to be one of the best;
A deep interest in estate planning and succession law;
Proven experience in Wills and estate planning;
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-focused approach;
A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset;
Proficiency in legal practice management software (we use Actionstep and NetDocuments);
Impeccable attention to detail and accuracy;
A collaborative spirit and commitment to ongoing professional development.
