About the Role The role focuses on advancing Environmental Sustainable Development (ESD) projects, specializing in façade design in close collaboration with the engineering team.
Key responsibilities include creating and implementing sustainable strategies, ensuring project requirements and standards are clearly communicated to stakeholders, and maintaining relevant professional accreditations and permits.
This position requires providing clients with comprehensive, sustainable solutions by addressing inquiries and preparing critical documentation, including Section J reports, Sustainability Management Plans (SMP), and Green Star matrices.
The aim is to design innovative, sustainable façades that meet client expectations while adhering to environmental standards, ensuring the overall success of each project.

Key Responsibilities Project Leadership and Delivery: Lead and manage ESD projects, including Green Star, NCC JV3, WELL, NABERS, and LEED certifications, from concept to completion.Act as Project Leader, coordinating project phases, site meetings, design workshops, and inspections as required.Monitor team performance and report on timelines, fees, and budgets; prepare draft invoices and register new projects in BST weekly.Coordinate with sub-consultants and ensure timely project updates to clients for positive feedback and repeat business.Technical Expertise and Modelling: Provide dynamic energy modeling using IES-VE, Speckle, or similar software.Prepare documentation such as SMP reports, Section J/JV3 reports, and Green Star matrices in line with standards and codes.Offer technical guidance and support to ensure compliance with building codes, legislation, and Meinhardt standards.Client and Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with clients, engineers, authorities, and project teams to maintain strong client relationships and ensure objectives are met.Prepare proposals and tender submissions per quality standards, ensuring timely delivery.Team Development and Support: Mentor team members, foster professional growth, and provide timely expertise on ESD-related matters.Deliver technical and administrative support to managers and project leaders, aiding in documentation and reporting.Quality Assurance and Project Documentation: Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and adhere to quality standards.Prepare well-structured, accurate reports for client review, maintaining quality in presentation, grammar, and technical content.Skills & Experience Formal tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or a closely related discipline is required as well as substantial industry experience.Proven industry experience of 7+ years in the various technical and aspects of consulting with emphasis on successful delivery of projects, including identifying project risks, problem solving, communicating issues and delivering solutions.Current Drivers Licence.Membership (or eligibility to be Member) of a relevant national or international accreditation body.Registration (or eligibility to be registered) in relevant state's professional engineer register for the building/construction industry (if required).Strong interpersonal, team management and leadership skills.Excellent team communication skills and high-level interpersonal skills.Strong presentation and report writing skills.Knowledge of the sector & possess excellent negotiation skills.Knowledge Management Actively contribute to project and organizational meetings, sharing insights to build team expertise and maintain strong technical capabilities.Encourage knowledge sharing and promote technical learning among team members, providing advice and coaching on discipline-specific skills and techniques.Drive continuous learning by sharing knowledge from regular internal workshops and staying updated on relevant technologies, standards, and legislation.Integrated Management System (IMS) & Health and Safety Ensure all documentation meets Meinhardt's Integrated Management System (IMS) standards, and proactively support improvement initiatives aligned with business objectives.Contribute to the Occupational Health & Safety program by following Meinhardt's Management Systems, reporting potential hazards or incidents, and seeking guidance on unfamiliar work practices.Uphold safety standards by ensuring work practices safeguard self and others in the workplace.Participate in compliance training, meetings, and environment, health, and safety activities, ensuring training and certifications are completed on time to maintain up-to-date knowledge and adherence to compliance standards.Culture Our employees work in an environment where initiative is encouraged, and excellence is rewarded.
