The Opportunity
This widely recognized, national law firm is seeking a talented and dedicated Associate or Senior Associate to join the Employment Law team. This role is available due to parental leave. There is also expected growth within the team. With this in mind, our client is looking at candidates who are available for a 12 month contract, as well as those seeking a full time permanent role.
The ideal candidate will bring 4-8 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in employment law, with a passion for acting on behalf of employers and senior employees facing termination and other employment challenges.
This role encompasses a broad spectrum of employment-related matters including general protections, contracts and reviews, deeds of release, and policy work.
Key Responsibilities: Represent clients in employment law matters across courts and tribunals, including the Fair Work Commission. Provide comprehensive advice on employment, industrial relations, discrimination, and WHS matters. Draft employment contracts and develop workplace policies. Deliver training sessions on various employment law aspects. Conduct research and contribute to articles and presentations on employment law. Skills & Experience: A solid background in employment and WHS law, ideally with 4-8 years PQE. Demonstrated experience in industrial relations and employment legislation. Exceptional drafting skills and meticulous attention to detail. Strong team spirit, with an enthusiastic approach to tasks.
