Senior Associate, Domain Expert - Cyber Risk Dataminr's real-time AI platform detects the earliest signals of high-impact events and emerging risks from within publicly available data.

Dataminr's Domain Experts are an essential component of our company's success - ensuring the alerts we send to our clients are of the best possible quality and making Dataminr's AI platform more advanced. As a Domain Expert, you will examine and analyze our data feeds and annotate, label and edit signals in real time. You will be an integral part of our algorithm training process and our advanced real-time human-AI feedback loop that integrates key knowledge domains into our AI models. As a Domain Expert, you will also play a key role in defining new factors to improve our alerts, data source coverage, machine learning and AI models.
This role is open as remote (Australia) or hybrid, and requires the ability to work core hours of 10:00am - 6:00pm AEDT or 8:00am - 4:00pm AEST in a real-time information environment. Candidates should be aware this role requires weekend rotational work, as well as projects and meetings outside of business hours.

The opportunity Serve as an expert on cybersecurity events and emerging cyber risks, and relevant data sources to improve our AI models Monitor and analyze the quality of our data feeds Own and develop projects to improve our AI models' performance in the real-time event detection space Make real-time decisions with incomplete data Collaborate on and communicate about daily priorities in a team-centric environment What you bring At Dataminr, we value you for who you are. Bachelor's degree required, with a concentration in Cybersecurity, Defence or Strategic Studies, International Relations, Political Science, or a closely related field strongly preferred Interpret and succinctly describe ongoing, complex events with incomplete data in a fast-paced environment in English; ability to read and understand additional languages a plus Adaptable, innovative and able to juggle multiple competing priorities in evolving scenarios with incomplete information Passion for breaking news, current world events, technology, and a great understanding of both social media and publicly-available data Enthusiastic approach to innovation and strategic thinking Ideally, previous experience of working in a real-time information environment Dataminr is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer.
