About the role
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Associate to join our well-regarded Planning and Environment team.
This role involves providing advice and conducting disputes for clients in both government (local and state) and the private sector, with a particular focus on compulsory acquisition, compensation, planning matters, land valuation and local government rating.
This is a unique opportunity to join a collaborative team that does quality work on high-profile projects in a multidisciplinary environment, and where you will be well supported with your training and development.
The right candidate will have the opportunity to supervise and mentor junior lawyers.
About you
In order to be considered for this role you will have the following skills and experience:

6+ years' experience in private practice/governmentExposure to or experience in compulsory acquisition/compensation, valuation and/or planning and environment law will be well regarded but is not essentialDisputes experience at VCAT and/or the Supreme Court will be well regarded.You will have strong drafting skills, excellent communication skills and a collegiate approach. Most importantly, we are looking for someone who is proactive, driven and enjoys working in a wider team.
