About Our Client Our client is a top tier law firm with a leading legal practice in Canberra, renowned for providing exceptional legal services to a diverse clientele, including Commonwealth government agencies. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Associate to join our clients public sector team advising across procurement, commercial and ICT matters and to be apart of contributing to their continued success.


Job Description As a Senior Associate specialising in procurement, commercial, and ICT contracts, you will play a pivotal role in delivering top-tier legal advise to their valued Commonwealth government clients. You will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic team of professionals in a collaborative and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities: Provide expert legal advice and guidance to Commonwealth government clients in procurement, commercial, and ICT contracts matters.Draft, review, and negotiate complex contracts, agreements, and procurement documents.Advise clients on regulatory compliance, risk management, and best practices.Represent clients in negotiations, dispute resolutions, and litigation when required.Stay up-to-date with changes in relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends.Mentor and support junior team members, fostering their professional growth. The Successful Applicant A minimum of 5 years of experience practicing in procurement, commercial, and ICT contracts law.Ideally from another top tier or national law firm in Australia. Admission to practice law in the Australian Capital Territory.Strong knowledge of government procurement policies and regulations.Excellent contract drafting and negotiation skills.Proven ability to manage complex client relationships and matters.Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
