Every placement makes a positive impact within the non-profit community.We are working with a leading private law firm in Canberra, currently seeking two talented professionals to join their business law team.The PositionsWe are looking for a Senior Associate in Business and an Associate/Lawyer in Business to assist with a broad range of exciting and complex commercial matters. If you are looking to take the next step in your career and thrive in a collaborative, dynamic environment, we would love to hear from you.Senior Associate in Business (10+ years' experience)As a Senior Associate, you will be responsible for leading and managing a variety of business law matters, including but not limited to:Running and advising on class actionsDrafting and reviewing constitutions, shareholder agreements, and business structuresProviding general commercial advice to clients, ensuring compliance and best practicesKey Requirements:Minimum of 10 years' experience in business/commercial law, with a proven track record in handling complex mattersExpertise in corporate governance, shareholder agreements, and business structuresAbility to manage client relationships, provide high-level strategic advice, and lead projectsExceptional attention to detail and strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders at all levelsAssociate/Lawyer in Business (3+ years' experience)The Associate/Lawyer role will involve working closely with senior lawyers on a wide range of business law matters, including:Commercial and shareholder agreementsBusiness sales and acquisitions, including drafting and reviewing contractsLeases, commercial property transactions, and general business adviceKey Requirements:Minimum of 3 years' experience in business/commercial law (experience in business sales, leases, and corporate law highly desirable)Strong attention to detail and drafting skillsExcellent communication abilities, with a focus on effective stakeholder engagementAbility to work both independently and as part of a teamWhat We Offer:A supportive and collaborative working environment within a well-established firmExposure to high-quality, varied legal workCompetitive, negotiable salary based on experienceWe are looking to fill these roles as soon as possible.
