This is a fantastic opportunity to join a trusted, Family-Owned Global FMCG in a rare and sought-after permanent part-time position of 30 hrs per week, as Senior Associate, Accounting.

The role will support our Financial Accounting Manager, working within a lean, supportive and energetic finance team.

About the role: You will manage and support the following tasks:
Support regular accounting processes, including Month End closing, Budgeting and Forecasting including variance analysis of functional costs.Lead compliance for SCJ of monthly Balance Sheet Account reconciliations and employee concur expense claims process, ensuring staff adherence to policies and controls.Preparation of statutory compliance including GST, WHT returns and Statistical returns.Assist the Finance Manager with other forms of compliance including external audits, internal control development and testing, income tax and FBT returns.Ownership of the AP process, assisting admin with PO creation & vendor management.
Working with the Shared Service Centre (SSC) on payment.Identify risks that impact P&L performance and proactively communicate to the Accounting Manager.What You'll Bring: 3+ years' similar financial accounting experience ideally from the FMCG sector.Past experience owning the AP process and general ledger review is essential.Intermediate knowledge of SAP, BPC (or similar accounting software).Intermediate to advanced skills in Excel.Approving staff expense claims to policy (preference Intermediate knowledge of concur).Experience in month-end close process and preparing monthly operational reporting with variance analysis (preference for analysis of various teams of the company such as sales, marketing, and administration).Exposure to preparing and assisting in budget and reforecast working papers.Be able to demonstrate how you've utilised existing policies and practices for guidance and utilised them for a creative approach to problem-solving and compliance.About You: Ideally you will be Degree qualified, in commerce/accounting or finance.Have knowledge of Australian taxation law (NZ knowledge desirable).Understanding of Australian Accounting Standards (NZ knowledge desirable).Display strong analytical skills, with a structured & logical thought process.Have strong organizational skills with excellent planning and problem resolution capabilities.Exceptional interpersonal skills, including the ability to build and sustain long-term professional relationships, influence others and communicate effectively.Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.Attention to detail.We're unable to support relocation for this position, so you must be based in Sydney, Australia, with full working rights and be Covid-19 vaccinated.What You'll Get in Return:
