Western Power's Asset Performance team is on the lookout for a Senior Asset Strategy Engineer to take ownership of developing cutting-edge asset management strategies that drive excellence across our operations.In this pivotal role, you'll be responsible for shaping the future of our asset lifecycle, applying best-in-class strategies to ensure peak performance and longevity for key asset classes.
From crafting advanced maintenance standards and conducting critical life assessments to designing risk mitigation strategies and preparing actionable work plans, you'll play a central role in enhancing our infrastructure's reliability and efficiency.Your Role in ActionDefine and document best practice asset management standards through applying subject matter engineering expertiseProvide optimal technical solutions, technical advice and problem solving on the nominated asset(s)Assess and manage asset risks and regulatory obligationsDrive continuous improvement and innovation in the management of asset(s)Prepare and justify asset strategies and contribute to the development of asset management plansPrepare and justify prudent and efficient work plans for capital expenditure and operations and maintenance expenditureCollaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve asset and works program performance objectivesWhat Makes You a Great FitEligible for Professional Engineer membership (MIE Aust) with Engineers AustraliaEligible for Certified Associate in Asset Management (CAAM) with the Asset Management Council.At least 10+ years extensive and broad engineering experience with demonstrated experience in asset strategy developmentExtensive specialist asset class knowledge in traditional distribution network assets and renewable energy asset classes including Stand-alone Power Systems (SPS), Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and Micro-grids.Advanced financial analysis skillsAble to work independently and results orientedStrong change management and stakeholder management and engagement skillsGreat written and verbal communication skillsConstructive and supportive behaviourBy joining Western Power, you will contribute to powering a cleaner energy future.
