They are also proud to be one of the largest owners and operators of renewable power generation assets in Australia, with wind and solar projects across the country.The RoleReporting to the Team Leader of Asset Planning, the primary objective of this role will involve the development of asset management strategies for the gas distribution network. This is an exciting opportunity to showcase your technical skills and leadership ability.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide guidance to asset planning engineers with a range of asset strategy applications.Capacity management - develop augmentation programme of work, maintain capacity models, and assess major customer demand impact.Monitor existing network performance to identify gas supply risks to existing customers and participate in emergency load management.Mains Replacement - develop mains replacement programme of works, develop replacement strategies, and optimise mains replacement designs.Develop gas network asset lifecycle strategies aimed at optimising asset value and reducing costs. Assist with the development of asset management plans, capex plans, and pressure surveillance strategies.Provide input into the capital expenditure plans for annual and 5-year programs of work associated with network augmentation and mains replacement.Compliance - Ensure compliance with policies and procedures, regulatory obligations, and relevant codes and standards.Frequently liaise with Capital Delivery, Operations, Business Support, Commercial, Regulatory, and other teams within Engineering.About YouIn order to succeed in this role, you will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:Relevant Tertiary Qualifications and/or work experience in a related discipline. Ideally Mechanical or Process Engineering.Utilities background. Gas experience preferred but would consider someone from a Utilities background such as Water, Electricity.Solid experience in Utilities operation, design, project management, or strategic planning.Sound experience in asset management of gas assets.Detailed knowledge of gas network and associated infrastructure design construction and maintenance policies, procedures, and practices preferred.Working knowledge of gas hydraulic modelling packages for steady state and transient flow modelling.Experience with developing and utilizing utility-based asset management systems, processes, and tools.The CultureThis business possesses a strong commitment to achieving the best outcomes through an inclusive and collaborative culture that rewards and celebrates courage, accountability, and nimbleness.
