As Senior Asset Officer, you will participate in and contribute to the delivery of a number of asset management related activities and business improvement initiatives, including delivering on best practice asset and financial management services across the department.

About the role:In this role, you will:
Provide business focused asset management and asset performance information and analysis to business units and stakeholders.Support the preparation of asset and financial reports, reconciliations, annual financial statements, whole of government reports, briefing notes, presentations, documents, and correspondence on a range of financial management and asset issues, specifically variance analysis.Assist in the preparation of the Annual Report, including briefs for the Estimates Committee hearing.Contribute towards the development and review of financial management policies and procedures that will assist the agency in meeting its obligations established under the Government's financial management framework - legislation, guidelines, and standards.What we are looking for:Previous experience in Asset Accounting.While accounting qualifications are not mandatory, a relevant degree and CPA/CA status is considered to be highly desirable given the technical nature of this role.We are committed to being a workplace that focuses on people.
