Due to a growth in our workload, we are looking for a Senior Asset Management Engineer with Mechanical background to join our experienced team in Brisbane.
This role offers an opportunity to provide technical support and supervision in relation to design and engineering services for engineering projects.
You are expected to help win work in relevant discipline for the Business Unit and Company and provide technical expertise and support to your team members.
Key responsibilities of this position include:
Providing technical support and expertise within your discipline at a senior level;
Conducting site inspections to monitor works undertaken and check conditions as required;
Maintaining a knowledge and understanding of trends and technology within your discipline;
Providing guidance, leadership and technical direction within your discipline of projects undertaken by Verbrec;
Undertaking engineering tasks and providing guidance to other engineering disciplines, including a high level of accuracy and efficiency in accordance with Verbrec standards;
Ensuring all aspects of the quality management system are followed in the work you perform;
Identifying and documenting potential risks and developing effective control strategies to minimise these risks;
Contributing towards, and lead where necessary, proposals and tenders where appropriate;
Performing all reasonable tasks required by your supervisor or manager;
Reviewing and commenting on, where necessary, tasks and deliverables produced by other team members and third-party companies;
Ensuring all engineering tasks you perform and deliverables you create comply with statutory requirements as well as company policies and practices;
Qualifications & Experience
Degree qualified in Engineering or equivalent experience;
10+ years' experience in the industry or recognised as an industry specialist;
CPEng Status or approved equivalent (Preferred)
Registered Professional Engineer (if based in or performing work for a jurisdiction requiring Engineering Registration)
Skills & Attributes
High level of technical knowledge within discipline;
Highly developed communication, team and interpersonal skills and working toward gaining leadership skills;
Highly developed time and task management skills;
High level proficiency in discipline related engineering software;
High level of attention to detail;
Sound knowledge and understanding of Australian, NZ or relevant International acts, codes, regulations and standards;
Ability to work autonomously on multiple simultaneous projects;
Ability to assist and manage where appropriate the complexities of medium to large scale projects;
Ability to perform and verify in depth calculations and analysis;
