The Senior Assessment Officer is the key contact for the greyhound racing industry for retiring racing greyhounds to the Greyhound Adoption Program.
The position will conduct behavioural assessments for greyhounds entering the adoption program.
Behavioural assessments are conducted at licensed participants' facilities or at various testing locations in the greater Brisbane area.
The Senior Assessment Officer develops behaviour modification plans including socialisation and enrichment training for greyhounds in the program.
The Senior Assessment Officer will utilise their specialised knowledge and experience of canine behaviour to apply the GAP National Temperament Test (GAPNTT) and assess each greyhound for its suitability for entry into the Greyhound Adoption Program.
