Senior Area Manager- Regional Operations Position Description – Senior Area Manager- Regional Operations Title: Senior Area Manager- Regional Operations
Classification:SCHADS Award
Usual work location: Usual hours of work: Full-time – 76 hours per fortnight
Position purpose: To oversee the daily direct service delivery of care and support to children and young people experiencing significant disruption in their lives.
Primary responsibilities: Operational Responsibilities: The Senior Area Manager is the operational link between the leadership team and the General Manager.
They will be accountable to ensure they:
· coordinate referral and intake procedures.
· oversee the set up of each new home with systems and compliances.
· provide direct supervision and support to Team Leaders and House Coordinators to delivery high quality, therapeutic care.
· are responsible to maintain reportable conduct requirements and report to General Managers.
· engage with case management agencies and representatives.
· collaborate with DCJ CFDU staff up to Manager Client Services level.
· monitor responsibilities within the service agreement and ensure requirements are met.
· identifies risks and generates remediations.
· hold approved financial delegation and records and supplies quotes accurately and in a timely manner.
· hold oversight of WHS issues and coordinate resolutions with the property manager.
· Forecasts and reviews service needs with the business manager.
· complete regular, accurate written reports to the General Manager
· attend meetings, forums and sector events as scheduled or requested.
· participates in emergency after-hours on call.
· Participates in interviewing, training and development of new Youth Workers, Team Leaders and House Coordinators.
· Works collaboratively with the Executive Team
· Oversight of remote placements as requested by funding bodies

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in social work or relevant discipline and a minimum of five (5) years' experience in the NSW Out of Home Care sector.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $120,000.00 – $160,000.00 per year

10 hour shift 12 hour shift 8 hour shift Afternoon shift Day shift Evening shift Monday to Friday Morning shift Rotating roster Weekend availability Experience:
