What we are seekingThe Architectural Technologist provides leadership and guidance to team members in the production of all aspects of a project including schematic design, design development, working drawings, construction administration and team coordination.
The successful applicant will bring passion, leadership and creativity to the role.
The successful candidate will have design experience and a solid technical background including demonstrated ability to work in Revit, AutoCAD and 3D modeling software.
Our current portfolio of work includes local and international work in healthcare, innovative office design and urban residential with a focus on sustainable design.
Commencement of the positions is immediate.
Role and Responsibilities Review and communicate current project status to the Partner in Charge/Project Manager at regular intervalsWork with the team to ensure project success as measured by client satisfaction, work quality, profitability, and fostering team professionalism and collaborationWork with the design team to identify specific design objectives, complex features and possible solutionsWork with the design team to develop detailed design concepts and translate them into design development documentsLead team members and actively participates in the preparation of drawing packages for various permit submissions and/or constructionCoordinate consultant teamsLiaise with clients and Approving AuthoritiesPrepare project code analysisAttend and lead meetings with clients and/or consultants as requiredReview drawings for Building Science accuracy, consultant coordination and compliance with local Building Codes and City Bylaw requirements prior to submissionsLead product research including building components and systemsAttend site meetings, complete shop drawing review and provide contract administration support, as requiredWhat you will bringArchitectural Technologist Diploma or related discipline from a recognized post-secondary institution5-8 years related experience as an Architectural TechnologistProficiency in Revit and AutoCAD is essentialProficiency in Revisto, Bluebeam, Sketchup, Navisworks would be considered an asset, but not requiredStrong conceptual and design skillsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsIntellectually curious and a willingness to learn and take accountability for your roleZeidler believes in a work-life balance and valuing our people with benefits like:
