Experienced Senior Architectural Technologist required to join a very successful Construction and development company located in Garforth, Leeds.
Our client is one of the UK's leading purpose-built residential care home developers and constructors. With over 30 years of innovation within their vertically integrated model, they have perfected care home designs and are currently on track to design and build 30 care homes per year!
About the Senior Architectural Technologist role: Due to rapid growth and the forecast of significant new projects, they are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Senior Architectural Technologist to join their Technical Design Team. The candidate will be responsible for the technical design and detailing of multiple care home projects. The role involves working closely with all project stakeholders to ensure that designs are practical, compliant with regulations, and implemented effectively.
Key responsibilities: Produce detailed architectural designs and drawings using CAD software. Work closely with all in-house disciplines, site teams, and external consultants. Ensure designs meet building regulations, standards, and sustainability requirements. Coordinate with site teams, engineers, and other stakeholders. Assist in project planning, scheduling, and budgeting. Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion. Ensure that all designs comply with relevant building codes and regulations. Prepare and submit planning applications and building control applications. Liaise with local authorities and regulatory bodies as needed. Prepare detailed specifications and schedules. Maintain accurate project documentation and records. Conduct site visits and inspections. Skills & Qualifications: A degree or equivalent qualification in architectural technology, building technology, or a related field. Proficiency in AutoCAD software. Strong understanding of building construction, materials, and methods. In-depth knowledge of UK building regulations and associated standards. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently. Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role within the construction or architectural industry. Proven track record of successful project delivery.
