Join a team that has the environment down to a science.Your OpportunityWe are looking to expand our archaeology team and are seeking a full time Archaeologist to lead field programs. Work will focus on projects across various service lines in the Yukon, with opportunities to contribute to projects in British Columbia.Your Key ResponsibilitiesLead cultural resource management assessmentsPrepare technical reportsActively participate in Stantec's HSSE programsQualificationsYour Capabilities and CredentialsExperience leading field-based cultural resource management assessments, including supervising staffExperience identifying traditional use sites and features, CMTs and precontact and historical artifactsAbility to hold a Class 2 Yukon Archaeological Site Regulation permit, or possess the required experience to become a permit holder in the near futureDedicated to following and promoting a strong safety cultureDesire to work closely with other environmental professionals and First NationsExcellent technical writing skills and experience in cultural resource management, including the preparation of regulatory deliverablesSelf-motivated and ability to solve complex problems using sound professional judgment, creativity and innovationValid Class 5 Driver's License (Yukon), or equivalentEducation and ExperienceA Bachelor's degree in Anthropology or Archaeology is required. A Master's degree is an asset.Minimum 5 years of experience in Cultural Resource Management. Experience in the Yukon is an asset.Experience working in remote locations is an asset.
