The team is a vibrant group of professionals working within a terrific culture focussed on continuous improvement.
This senior position primarily exists to provide senior technical leadership, database and application design capability and guidance within the applications and data team. A key responsibility is to ensure that all backend systems are able to support the storage and data presentation requirements demanded by the system and as articulated through the ICLT Business Partner - Data Services. In addition, the successful candidate will:
Provide leadership and technical direction to Developers and DBAs within the ICLT team, including the chairing of daily stand-up meetingsWork with ICLT Business Partners to ensure that business requirements for application development are captured from various stakeholders across the organisationDesign, implement and administer 'on prem' and cloud-based databases, data warehouses, and data lakes that are utilised by all CEDoW.Make expert recommendations as to whether solutions should be delivered through "commercial off the shelf" products or custom bespoke applications.Design and implement efficient integrations between key enterprise systems including automation, interoperability and the easy transmission of data within the data ecosystem.Provide guidance and oversee team members in their implementation of modern application development and deployment practices within "on prem" contexts and cloud environments such as AWS, GCP or Azure.SELECTION CRITERIA Software Lead ExperienceExpert Database & Data warehouse design experienceSound Knowledge of Integration technologies, Dell Boomi, MulesoftSound knowledge of cloud technologies AWS, GCP and AzureSound Agile development and scrum master experience Full knowledge of the software development lifecycleSound experience in multiple programming languages e.g JS, Swift and C#Sound conceptual analytical and problem-solving skillsSound knowledge of Modern development practices QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE Relevant bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or Engineering5 years' experience in a Senior DBA or Developer team leader roleCertifications with Cloud vendors, AWS, Azure, GCP Snowflake etc desirableWORKING WITH CHILDREN CLEARANCE
