As a Sr. Application Development and Support Analyst, you will contribute and mentor the team in all aspects of application support to deliver system enhancements, including the implementation of business recovery, disaster recovery, and continuity plans, ensuring system availability, reliability, stability, currency, and recoverability of applications to meet agreed service levels.
Influence the design, development, and testing of software solutions to deliver reliable, stable, and operationally sound applications that meet business requirements. Using an understanding of business requirements and the applications roadmap, clarify with and influence the business in defining technical requirements to ensure system changes are aligned to longer term investment plans and meet business requirements. Adhere to operational policies and consistently apply tools, standards, methods and processes in developing solutions to ensure that quality applications are developed and supported with consistent maintainable code which supports risk and compliance management. Engage with and influence development teams working on system change to ensure operational readiness dimensions meet required standards to maximise stability following system change. Conduct resolution of incidents and problems to ensure systems operate as required. Provide problem resolution assistance to Support Analyst as required. Develop and maintain operational and system documentation to enable effective maintenance and support of applications. Recommend changes to application or its usage that can potentially reduce cost or improve performance. Provide immediate application support in the event of a service disruption or issue and enable the achievement of service availability and service level requirements. Conduct system maintenance, including implementation of business recovery, disaster recovery and continuity plans, to deliver system availability, reliability, stability, currency and recoverability of applications to meet agreed service levels. Collaborate effectively with team members and other business and technology stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes. What do I need? This role focuses on providing L3 SME support for a wide range of applications, making previous experience in L3 Application Support highly desirable.
Proven experience in application support. Experience in a corporate IT environment (preferred). Support experience in a Windows Server environment. Experience with payments processing (preferred). Proficiency in building environments, deploying applications, and managing server operating infrastructures. SQL and PowerShell expertise. Knowledge of SSL certificates and Web Application Firewalls.
